چکیده
This study involved conducting a survival analysis by fitting Cox proportional hazards model to Korea Labor Panel data analyze the impact of parental job loss on children’s delayed admission colleges and universities in South Korea, using 376 subjects whose education levels were college-level or higher. Since are interval- right-censored, we compared three imputation methods: simple omission, as average left right values interval, multiple imputation. Their integrated areas under ROC curve (AUC) mean square errors (MSE) assess their predictive estimation performances. It was found that, within simulation, method exhibited lower MSE than other two methods. However, no difference observed iAUC values. In group where each householder had at least college degree, significantly related university first-born child regardless use interval censoring method. particular, when children experienced parents’ unemployment age 18, probability reduced nearly 53% cases they did not. implies that government should develop policy system offering psychosocial support for adolescents who cannot expect help.

Proportional hazards regression with interval censored data using an inverse probability weight.
The prevalence of interval censored data is increasing in medical studies due to the growing use of biomarkers to define a disease progression endpoint. Interval censoring results from periodic monitoring of the progression status. For example, disease progression is established in the interval between the clinic visit where progression is recorded and the prior clinic visit where there was no ...
متن کاملEstimation in the cox proportional hazards model with left-truncated and interval-censored data.
We show that the nonparametric maximum likelihood estimate (NPMLE) of the regression coefficient from the joint likelihood (of the regression coefficient and the baseline survival) works well for the Cox proportional hazards model with left-truncated and interval-censored data, but the NPMLE may underestimate the baseline survival. Two alternatives are also considered: first, the marginal likel...
متن کاملA local likelihood proportional hazards model for interval censored data.
We discuss the use of local likelihood methods to fit proportional hazards regression models to right and interval censored data. The assumed model allows for an arbitrary, smoothed baseline hazard on which a vector of covariates operates in a proportional manner, and thus produces an interpretable baseline hazard function along with estimates of global covariate effects. For estimation, we ext...
متن کاملA flexible, computationally efficient method for fitting the proportional hazards model to interval-censored data.
The proportional hazards model (PH) is currently the most popular regression model for analyzing time-to-event data. Despite its popularity, the analysis of interval-censored data under the PH model can be challenging using many available techniques. This article presents a new method for analyzing interval-censored data under the PH model. The proposed approach uses a monotone spline represent...
متن کاملA semiparametric Bayesian proportional hazards model for interval censored data with frailty effects
BACKGROUND Multivariate analysis of interval censored event data based on classical likelihood methods is notoriously cumbersome. Likelihood inference for models which additionally include random effects are not available at all. Developed algorithms bear problems for practical users like: matrix inversion, slow convergence, no assessment of statistical uncertainty. METHODS MCMC procedures co...
